Spoke Bike
How Close should i place the sensor for a Bike computer?
I bought a bike computer/ speedometer, and i need to know how far on the spoke to place the magnet and sensor. Some places tell me 6 inches, while others tell me on the hub. And is my Bike computer programmed to place it at 5 inches from the hub, 6 inches? I know it is made by schwinn, but thats it. Thanks!
There's no specific distance from the hub or rim, but you need to position the magnet and the sensor so that they are as close as possible when they pass each other. There should be about a 2mm gap, and you can slide them up and down the fork and spoke until they are this close.
Just make sure that any cables are secured so that they won't snag on anything.
