Mountain bike help again!?

i have a 2009 motobecane fantom pro http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/images/pro_ds_blk_2100.jpg

this bike is great, it take me where i need to go and its sturdy. But recently i have been doing harder trails and i just dont have enough travel to ride smoothly. i wont be able to get a new bike for awhile so i just want to upgrade my shocks for a longer travel. is it possible to upgrade the rear shock to a longer travel? and the fork as well? please help thank you

p.s. im 6'2" 240lbs

You theoretically can upgrade your fork and shock. But I say theoretically because:
1.) It astounds me when people spend more on upgrades than they originally spent for the bike. If you're looking to drop a couple hundred dollars on a fork and shock, that money would better serve you on a better, name-brand bike with quality components already on it. Motobecane lacks those quality comps. (Like a Fox shock and fork.)
2.) That bike, like every other bike, was designed with a certain fork and shock length in mind. Change those on the same bike, and it's gonna seriously throw off your ride.
